Ecolinc Science and Technology Centre would like to invite you to our 2017 Sustainability Expo on Sunday 26th March.

The Expo, held at the Ecolinc Science and Technology Centre, 17-23 Labilliere Street, Bacchus Marsh, is a free family friendly event focusing on all things to do with sustainability.

We are looking for guest speakers who have a great deal of knowledge and expertise on a range of key sustainability issues and topics. Topics could include: energy, climate, biodiversity, land use, water, transport, gardening, farming, houses, natural resources, waste management etc. etc. The list is endless. If you feel that you are able to provide inspiration and information to participants about something to do with sustainability, then please contact us on 5367 0171; We would love to hear from you.

A range of workshops/activities for children and adults will be a key feature of the event and will be scheduled every ½ hour throughout the day. Ecolinc will provide workshops within the centre and others will take place at other keys areas throughout the Expo. The workshops will be ‘hands on’ make, create and do activities designed to ensure that children and adults take something away with them. If you are able to provide/lead a workshop/activity, please contact us on 5367 0171.

We are also looking for organisations, businesses and community groups to lead demonstrations that focus on sustainability. Topics could include building a compost or worm farm, setting up a sustainable organic garden, how to make your home more energy efficient and cut down on power costs, solar cars, birds of prey etc. etc. Once again, there are countless opportunities to demonstrate how we can become more sustainable. If you have an idea, then we would love to hear from you.

The much loved sustainable/farmers market is always a huge hit and will feature at the Expo. We are calling for stall holders who make, create, sustainably source their products or who can provide information about sustainability products to join the market. We actively encourage food vendors and one-off trash & treasure/vintage stalls as this provides a great community vibe to the expo and shoppers love to scour these stalls for recycled bargains. Please contact us for further information and the stall holder application forms.

Meet the techsperts is one of the major draw-cards of the Expo as people obtain expert technical information on a range of sustainability topics. This is an ideal way for businesses to promote their products to a captive audience. If you have a business that sells products related to sustainability, we encourage you to be part of this event. Please contact Ecolinc for more information on 5367 0171.
